quadrat [ ˈkwɒdrət ] (noun) - a small area of habitat, selected at random, using a square frame, to act as a sample for assessing the local distribution of plants or animals. There is a suggestion of organic material within these prints where I played with the idea of textures changing colour as they move inside and outside the quadrat
