This website features the two strands of my personal creative work - screenprinting and photography, plus a record of my past work seen through exhibitions I have been involved in. The accompanying exhibition statements provide additional insights into the ideas and inspirations behind my work, as do the collection of posts. Please be patient when navigating the site as the number of high-resolution images on some pages does take a while to load.
The photography section focuses on my aerial landscape photographs, starting with the abstract downward view that first led me to purchase a drone. Other collections show my increasing interest in experimenting with different ways to manipulate and present 360° imagery.
Recently I have found time to return to screenprinting, which was the technique I fell in love with as an art student, and I am documenting this in detail. While essentially abstract these prints make use of photographic stencils to explore natural textures, colours and forms.
If you like the screenprints or photographs on my website and are interested in purchasing any of them, then please send me an email. My recent screenprints are invariable 30cm, and I have a printer that can print the photographs up to 30cm on museum-grade paper. I can mount and frame them for you or supply them just as prints.
Alongside this personal artwork I am the owner/operator of Aerial Artwork, taking photographs, and creating films and virtual tours for clients. Over the years this has increasingly involved working with environmental organisations to record their nature conservation and restoration projects. Concerns for the natural environment has always been a feature of my personal work. In my degree show exhibition statement in 1985 I  wrote about the “lack of harmony between mankind and the natural environment throughout the world”.
Below is a button link to my Aerial Artwork website, where there is a comprehensive portfolio of all the exciting projects I have been fortunate to work on in and around Cumbria since 2015.
